Withdrawal Agreement
The UK and EU drew up an official and legally binding withdrawal agreement, which came into force on 1st February 2020, covering the UK’s exit from the EU.
The most important thing to note is that those who are legally registered residents in Fuerteventura prior to 31st December 2020, are covered by the Withdrawal Agreement, and therefore have their right to remain here protected.
British in Europe wrote the following articles, explaining what the agreement covers (and what it doesn’t!) in an easy to understand language!
- Introduction to the Withdrawal Agreement
- Residence rights and procedures
- Health care, pensions and social security
- Working rights, professional qualifications and family reunification
- What’s not covered by the Withdrawal Agreement
