Restaurante El Labrador
Well a heavy calima descended on us today, and we could barely see the mountains around us at times!
Once a month we visit a restaurant that we haven’t been to before and is on our ‘must go list’ with friends, and today we had planned to go to Restaurante el Labrador in Casillas de Angel. Sadly our friend had been ill and was not able to come with us – another time Dee! As we had booked a table, Ian and I went on our own.
We had booked a table for 1.30pm and when we arrived just one other couple were there, but hey that’s early for Spain! We chose to sit outside in the lovely terrace area. As is often the case, my phone did not have internet connection so we could not access the menu! Thankfully, they had a menu pinned up on the wall. We decided to have tapas, which we always love having when out. For some reason, today we decided to have FIVE dishes, when we normally only have 3 or 4 at the most. And when they came, OMG!, they were all huge dishes!!! We ended up with a doggy bag with probably 3 more meals!!
Anyway, we chose , ensalada especial, mejillones, croquettas, puntillas and queso frito. All the food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. Will definitely go again, but next time not order quite so much LOL! Thoroughly recommended.
We left about 3.30pm, and there were quite a few people in then.
